Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has directed the state Head of Service to put necessary machinery in place to ensure the promotion of deserving workers in the civil and public service.
Akeredolu who gave the directive at the swearing in ceremony of 15 new permanent secretaries and one tutor general held at the Dome in Akure.
He assured of his administration’s determination to give workers due promotion and other merited privileges.
He said the new permanent secretaries were elevated based on merit after a rigorous selection process contrary to insinuations since the announcement of the names.
Akeredolu emphasised that in spite of the paucity of funds confronting the state his administration would put up policies that would encourage those committed to robust service delivery.

The governor asked all civil servants in the state to put up better attitude to work to enable the state government achieve quality service delivery to the people.
The governor also charged the three newly sworn in members of the Judicial Service Commission to live up to the demands of their office.
