Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has declared that  his administration is poised to providing qualitative and affordable health care to the people of Ondo state.

 

Akeredolu who made the declaration while inaugurating the state’s contributory health commission office in Akure, said government has paid the  100 million naira counterpart funds to access the national  1 billion naira  basic health care provision funds  to ensure  smooth take  off of the scheme.

 

Speaking at the inauguration of the heath commission office, governor akeredolu said there is need for all residents to key into the contributory health scheme for qualitative healthcare delivery just as he pointed out that pregnant women and children below five years would enjoy free medical heathcare upon the commencement of the contributory health scheme.

 

The governor said his administration is providing opportunity where both the reach and the vulnerable can cater for their financial strength.

 

The state  commissioner for health Dr Wahad Adegbenro who believed the people of Ondo state deserve the best in terms of health care delivery  lauded governor Akeredolu for all his health initiatives to better the lots of the masses.

 

The special adviser to governor Akeredolu on health matters Dr Jibayo Adeyeye said the contributory health scheme when operational would redefine access to healthcare delivery in Ondo state.
