Ondo State governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), has appointed Mrs. Omowumi Isaac as the Director General of the Ondo State Bureau of Public Procurement (ODBPP).

Omowumi Isaac is a chartered accountant.

Ondo State Bureau of Public Procurement was formerly known as the Project and Price Monitoring Unit (PPMU) before it was changed to its current/new name.

The Chief press secretary to Governor Akeredolu, Mr Segun Ajiboye in a statement directs all accounting officers of ministries, extra-ministerial department and agencies to take note of this new development and adhere to same in their correspondence.

Former Ondo Chief judge advocates state of emergency of emergency on Nigerian prisons

A former chief judge of Ondo state, justice olaseinde kumuyi has advised the federal government to declare a state of emergency on prison operations, and develop a ten year strategic plan for infrastructure drawing experience from foreign jurisdictions.

Speaking at a forum in akure on prison reforms and decongestion, kumuyi canvassed more attention to prison infrastructure  through partnership with non- governmental organizations as part of efforts to tackle prison congestion.

He also advised government to dedicate one percent of its annual income for a period of five years to manage and develop prisons.

Kumuyi also emphasized the need for  thorough implementation of the administration of criminal Justice act, an important legal framework which ensures detainees are not held longer than necessary.

Over 2000 2018 Ondo batch A corps members to end three weeks orientation course on Wednesday

Governor Oluwarotimi akeredolu will on Wednesday preside over the terminal parade and closing ceremony of the orientation course for 2151 corps members registered for the 2018 batch a service year of the national youth service corps nysc in Ondo state

A statement by the nysc spokesperson in Ondo state, Christy Olatoye said the event which will hold at the orientation camp in ikare akoko is to formally end the three weeks orientation course for the service year.

Olatoye appealed to employers to make adequate preparation to receive their corps members and provide suitable accommodation as well as conducive environment to bring out the best in them during the service year.
