The Christian association of Nigeria, Owo council branch has bestowed on governor oluwarotimi akeredolu an award as the Christian man of honour.
Chairman of the association in Owo, Prophet Samuel Olowoporoku while presenting the award at the official inauguration of the elders forum of the body in Owo, said the award was due to the significant impact of the governor in the area of human and infrastructural development across ondo state.
Olowoporoku who noted that the functions of the elders forum include to instill love of God in everyone, dislodge the spirit of disunity among churches, as well as bridge the gap between the public government and Christians.
Governor Akeredolu in his remarks maintained that his government
owe everybody a duty to render selfless services to them.
Akeredolu who promised more development strides across the state in the areas of school renovation, refurbishment of health facilities, payment of workers salaries and security asked for the continued support of the people for more success stories.
He urged the body of Christ to intensify prayers for the nation to over all her challenges as well as his administration for more progress and development .
