The Super Eagles B now have almost a full complement of players called up for the friendly with Atletico Madrid, after most of the overseas-based players joined the team camp in Abuja yesterday, even though some of them have been denied permission to come by their clubs.
Ibrahim Alhassan ‘Muazzam’ (Austria Wien/ Austria), Musa Mohammed (Lokomotiv Plodiv/Bulgaria), Usman Mohammed (Sarpsborg/ Norway), Chidiebere Nwakali (Aberdeen/ Scotland) have all reported to the Abuja camp.
However Kelechi Nwakali was still been expected in camp as at the time of this report.
Meanwhile, the NFF have also formally asked the club of Sadiq Umar to release him for the international friendly, while Norwegian club Lillestrom stopped Ifeanyi Matthew from the game, saying it is not within the FIFA friendly window.
The team under coach Salisu Yusuf had a full training session at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja on last night and will fly out to Uyo this morning.
