Less than eight days to the general election, the federal high court sitting in Akure has dismissed a stay of execution application filed by Dr Bode Ayorinde to restrain INEC and the PDP national Secretariat from executing the judgement of the court that declared Architect Sodiq Obanoyen as the authentic PDP house of representatives candidate for owo/ose federal constituency of Ondo state.

The presiding judge, Justice Abdulmutalib Dogo directed that INEC should execute the judgement and Obanoyen should be recognised as the PDP Candidate for the forthcoming 2019 general election slated for next week’s Saturday.

It would be recalled that justice Dogo had on 22nd of last month restrained Dr Bode Ayorinde, a current federal lawmaker from parading himself as the PDP candidate for owo/ose federal constituency, adding that Obanoyen scored the highest votes cast during the PDP primary of October 3rd, 2018 with 107 votes as against Ayorinde who got 72 Votes.

Report says Ayorinde has headed to the appeal court but the High Court’s judgement still subsists as at now.
