Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists,NUJ Ondo state council, James sowole wants members of the pen profession to always strive for excellence to make journalism an envy of its contemporaries.
Mr sowole threw the challenge at a send off party orangnised by the Local government information chapel for its pioneer chairman, Mr Tola Olowoselu and treasurer Mrs. Julianah Akinboboye who recently retired from active service.
He thanked the retired officers for their contribution towards the success of his administration and growth of journalism in the state.
Also speaking, the chapel chairman, Com. Layo Babade eulogized the virtues of the retired officers describing them as pivotal towards the development of the chapel.
Responding on behalf of the retired officers, Mr. Tola Olowoselu appreciated the current leadership of the chapel for counting them worthy for celebration and appealed to all members to remain united.
