Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers in the Ondo State House of Assembly say the successful conduct of the non-elective convention in Abuja is a sign that the party is set to return to power in 2019.
Speaking with Orange FM, Minority Leader, Hon. Sola Ebiwonjumi who said the non elective convention is an indication the party has come to stay admonished its members to allow relative peace in the party.
Also, speaking former Majority Leader, Hon. Ifedayo Akinsoyinu and Hon. Akindiose Olusiji who expressed hope of the pdp becoming the ruling party in 2019 appealed to members who defected to return to the fold.
Delegates from the state at the convention include former governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, the party’s candidate in last year’s governorship election, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, PDP members in the national and state house of Assembly and the southwest Vice Chairman, Dr Eddy Olafeso.
