Some football fans in Ondo state capital have expressed disappointment at the Super Eagles’ 0-2 loss to Croatia in their opening game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
They spoke with Orangefm while reacting to the outcome of the super eagles and croatia match in Akure, the state capital.
The soccer fans said super Eagles got their tactics and formation wrong against Croatia and attributed the defeat to overconfidence and lack of adequate preparations.
A sports analyst and psychologist, Mr Ajayi Omoniyi who advised Gernot Rohr to critically work on the attakers against next match said the players were not coordinated while the coach failed to also make the necessary substitutions on time.
The result meant that, Croatia moved to the top of the table with three points, while Argentina and Iceland are second and third respectively after playing out a 1-1 draw.
The super Eagles next match against Iceland is slated for Friday this week.
