Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has appointed Justice Oluwatoyin Akeredolu as the new Acting Chief Judge of Ondo state.

Justice Akeredolu’s appointment followed the expiration of Justice Tayo Osoba’s six month’s tenure as Acting Chief Judge.

In a letter to Justice Akeredolu, the Governor said her appointment followed the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC) and in line with with Section 271 Subsection 5 of the 1999 constitution as amended.

The letter said Justice Akeredolu will act for three months in acting capacity beginning from today, the 22nd July 2017.

Justice Akeredolu is expected to be sworn in by the Governor early next week.
