Ondo state government has signed two Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Greenfield Poultry Limited for the construction of a powderised Egg Factory, and Adventum Global Inc for construction of a factory to cultivate and process large scale agricultural products.
The egg factory, to be sited in Emure Ile, in Owo local government area of the state, will be the first powderised egg factory plant in Nigeria and West Africa.
Speaking at the MOU signing ceremony held at the governor’s office in Akure, leader of the team, Paul Obanua commended the commitment of the state government towards the project and maintained that the ground breaking of the factory will be held on the 20th of next month.
Also, Chairman, Adventum Global Inc, USA, Mr Isaac Oghogho stressed that they are investing more than 40 million US dollars in the Northern senatorial district of the state on the 4000 hectare project.
He explained that their primary objective was to set up an integrated agriculture value chain company from cultivation to processing, marketing and distribution.
Responding, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu thanked the companies for their show of interest in the state and emphasised that construction work on the project site of Greenfield Poultry Limited at Emure Ile will begin in no distant time.
He equally added that his administration will do everything possible to ensure an Independent Power Project to power all industries that will be sited in the state.
