As part of the build up to the resumption of transmission by the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC) on the 30th of November 2017, the Station’s Management led by its Chairman, Kunle Adebayo will embark on sensitization visits to some stakeholders in Ondo state.
The purpose of the visits is to engage these critical stakeholders in understanding the recent history of the Station as well as Government’s current capacity building efforts to reposition the station for optimum performance.
This sensitization advocacy would take the stations Management to the three senatorial districts of the state beginning with visits to the Jegun of Ile Oluji, the Osemawe of Ondo and music icon King Sunny Ade who is also the proprietor of M & C FM Ondo, tomorrow.
Others visits scheduled for subsequent days include those to the Olukare of Ikare, the Olubaka of Oka (28th)
Olore of Ore, Deji of Akure, Olowo of Owo, (29th), Owa of Idanre, Jegun of Okitipupa & Olu of Igbokoda (4th of December).
The traditional rulers are expected to receive the station’s management in company of members of their traditional councils, artisan groups, market men and women, youth groups as well as various religious organisation leaders.
It would be recalled that the station was earlier shut down due to gross inefficiency and obsolete equipment with attendant effect on the output and effective services to its audience in Ondo state and beyond.
To address this age long systemic failure, the Station’s management embarked on holistic revamping measures which include right sizing of workers from its over bloated number to a small and manageable size of professionals.
The state government also embarked on acquisition of modern digital equipment for the station while physical rehabilitation of infrastructure and construction of production facilities are ongoing.
