Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has personally informed the duo of Stephen Eze and Dele Ajiboye they would not be making Nigeria’s squad to the World Cup, with five players expected to be dropped from the 30 on the provisional list today.
Speculations have been rife as to which of the players have been dropped from the squad, but it is now being reported that Plateau United goalkeeper Ajiboye and Bulgaria-based Eze are two of the players who have been informed they would not be making the team to Russia.
With the exit of Ajiboye, the three goalkeepers guaranteed for the World Cup are Francis Uzoho,Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Daniel Akpeyi.
Rohr has said he will drop five players before the squad fly out to England from Abuja tomorrow.
The coach will then drop two more players after the England game to have a final squad of 23 players for Russia 2018.
