Speaker gives full support to Gov. Akeredolu on development
He emphasised that mutual understanding between the Executive and the Legislative arms of government would be further strengthened and promoted in the interest of the state and the citizenry.
Oleyelogun particularly appreciated God Almighty in the lives of the governor, his deputy and the entire cabinet members for the successful celebration of one year in office with laudable achievements, “most especially the flag-off of the 51 kilometers Araromi Seaside Igbo Edun-Akodo-Ise road, Lagos state, FOWOSO, Olori’s Connection, Women Empowerment programme and Youth on the Ridges Agric Business Empowerment Programme””.
While admitting that the Assembly has a very big task of moving the state forward before it, the Speaker said all the activities of the lawmakers in the hallowed chambers have significant effects on the development of the Sunshine State.
The number one lawmaker stressed that passing of appropriate bills and making necessary laws that will positively change the lives of the people of the state and Nigeria at large would further receive boost now that House has resumed full legislative business after working recess.
He disclosed that proper attention would be given to all pending petitions received during the House recess, just as he lauded all lawmakers for their commitment to the development of the state and their various constituencies.
The Speaker equally expressed his gratitude to all the legislators for their steadfastness, courage, cooperation and undiluted support given to him in the past and in the present, which he noted, has made the Assembly of Hope achieve many successes.
He also thanked the Chairman, Ondo State House of Assembly Commission and all members of staff of the Assembly starting from the Clerk, for their usual cooperation and support.
Oleyelogun further commended the efforts and activities of various Committees of the House for doing good jobs.
He enjoined them to continue to do more for the development of the state.
