Three members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Borno State died in Monday’s night suicide bomb attack in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Police spokesman Joseph Kwaji, in a statement said the incident occurred about 8:30 pm at Muna Delti area on the outskirts of Maiduguri.
Kwaji said a male bomber riding a bicycle detonated his Improvised Explosive Device (IED), which killed him and three CJTF members.
He added that 17 sustained injuries. The injured were evacuated to the University of Maiduguri TeachingHospital (UMTCH).
The police EOD team had sanitised the area and normalcy had been restored, he added.
Gunmen have killed a Fulani herdsman and 15 cows at Rafin-Bauna, Iregwe land, in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, it was learnt yesterday.
Police spokesman Terna Tyopev told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the incident occurred about 5:30  pm on Monday.
Tyopev said two Iregwe youths were also attacked, about 6 pm, as they returned from a mining site at Gyero community
Tyopev spokesman said they were receiving treatment at Enos Hospital, Miango, adding that investigation is on to unravel the culprits.
