The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is presently in a closed door meeting with Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and the Leader of Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti at the residence of the elder statesman in Akure.
Tinubu who arrived the Akure airport around 12; 40pm was received by Akeredolu, his deputy, Agboola Ajayi and other top government functionaries in the state.
He then headed for Fasonranti’s residence and was received by the Secretary General of Afenifere, Bashorun Seinde Arogbofa and other leaders of the group.
Tinubu and his entourage including former APC National Chairman, Chief Bisi Akande then went into a closed door meeting with Fasoranti, Akeredolu and other leaders of the group.
It would be recalled that the need to unite the south west region has taken the centre stage of several meetings in recent times especially with the 2019 elections around the corner.
While Tinubu and his camp had worked for the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 elections, Fasoranti and Afenifere pitched their tent with former president Goodluck Jonathan.
Fasoranti’s residence is at present jampacked with journalists waiting for the outcome of the meeting.
